In recent weeks, Major League Baseball hosted a “Field of Dreams” game in Dyersville, Iowa that was a replica of the baseball field from the 1989 blockbuster hit move.

“If you build it, they will come.” Ok, so how did they build it?
It required some site work, including the shifting of 30,000 cubic feet of soil. Rock footings were installed to accommodate the grandstand and support facilities. The field installation included a full irrigation system—and, of course, a well needed to be drilled to provide the water.
The Almasi team is also familiar with what it takes to build a professional sports stadium. They had the opportunity to create their own field of dreams when they were selected to perform site and utility work for the new MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. This 82,500-seat stadium hosts the NY Giants, NY Jets, and concerts.

The project scope included the installation of underground utilities and pumping stations for field drainage. Installation of utilities and sub-grade for plaza concrete. The Almasi Team installed over 20,000 linear feet of site utilities. They installed sub-grade and stone a 600,000 sq. ft. area for a concrete slab.
The Almasi Team’s hard work, perseverance, and creativity certainly made “dreams come true” for the client and for all teams and guests at MetLife Stadium for years to come.
