I have worked at Almasi for 33 years as General Superintendent.
What do you like about your job?
I enjoy the challenges that come along with the job. Most of my job includes working with heavy machinery and overseeing mechanical piping and excavation projects.
Almasi is a great family company. They are accommodating and take care of their workers like family.
Why is your nickname GI?
Growing up, my next-door neighbor was a boxer. He taught me how to box when I was young, my nickname was GI Joe “The Great American Hero.” That nickname stuck with me all these years.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
The best piece of advice I have received on the jobsite is about managing excavation. If you can’t control the water – it’s not going to work.
Fun Fact: what would people be surprised to learn about you?
People are surprised to learn how relaxed my personality is. I am very easy going.
I live in Woodbridge Township, NJ with my wife. I have 3 kids and 3 grandkids. My wife and I go riding on our motorcycles and bring our grandkids on camping and fishing trips.
